In 2018, I decided to create a new separate side venture in conjunction while still selling real estate full-time and offer my photography services and associated marketing skills to the public and of course with the clients of homes that I help sell.  As such, Dan Wood Studio, LLC is officially open for business and is looking forward to meeting lots of new people.  I also wanted a place to publicly display online the Art that I personally make.  I do consider myself as an Artist as I was trained by some of the best Artists while I studied various fine Art's at UNT in Denton where I obtained a BFA in Fine Arts.  Vernon Fisher and Vincent Falsetta created a huge impact on how I see the Arts.  Painting and drawing is where I focused my Art studies while at UNT and then later towards education.  Go Eagles!  Mean Green!  It is Denton where I began my journey through the Arts and the unique Artistic culture Denton breeds.  To this day, I've used those skills with every home I market and sell.

 

So the story goes a long, long time ago before I got into real estate, I use to teach Art in Keller ISD, but I've never been able to give it up creating and making various pieces of Art, including photography.  It's funny to me because I remember the digital camera I used while teaching Art with the kids that used a floppy disc & then later one that was pure digital.  It's crazy how much technology has improved in the digital age, especially with photography.  I love all things about Art and have always had a drawing or painting in the works during my free time.  I try to have a camera or notebook with me at all times for when the moment is right.  There is so much variety you can capture in a photo and it's how it's taken that is the look you want or not.  Sure a nice smile picture is always good, but it's often the off the cuff moments that are captured in a picture that create an emotion.  The same is true, but in a different way with real estate photography. 

 

As the real estate market changes, so do the number of for sale by owners and brand new real estate agents trying to make their mark.  Please understand, selling Real Estate is my primary job, but I do have somewhat of a flexible schedule.  I've always been a tech geek and have had the latest real estate related real estate marketing gadgets.  I have several tools, cameras, lenses, and techniques I use to take pictures and market the homes I sell.  Now I am available to help you do the same thing through the pictures, if you are a for sale by owner, another real estate agent or broker needing good pictures.  If I personally can not to meet your time, I do have additional photographers I also personally use available.  

 

In addition to regular photography, I am also able to offer you a Virtual Reality Virtual Tour through Matterport.  Matterport is a specific type of camera and associated software with monthly hosting costs.  This tour is honestly the biggest and baddest marketing tool in the real estate industry.  Now the viewer can control how they want to view every space and be able to walk through the home virtually online and see the home as if they were walking through it in real life.  Look up, down and every angle you want to with the ability to zoom in and out.   Anyone looking at a Matterport tour will be able to view the tour on a smartphone, tablet, computer, and even with VR glasses or google cardboard.  In addition these links are unbranded or branded with your information.

 

​In addition to that, I am also able to offer you a real estate video highlighting your home and the features in it.  I can also do the same type video with anything really.  Various businesses inquire within.  With your digital copy you can upload it to your social media accounts and online accounts.

Throughout the years, I have had so much fun with everyone taking portrait pictures.  It's fun getting into creative scenes and making memories last forever.  I always have a blast taking portraits and I'd love to meet with you individually, to come up with a great photo shoot you'll never forget.  

 

I typically work within a one hour drive from DFW International Airport, however I am available outside that area with some restrictions. Please give me as much notice as possible as my schedule is already being on call.  

 

Regarding the fine art I do in addition to photography, I also work with large to small canvas paintings and 18 x 24 inch size drawings.  I have a variety of art styles from abstract to real looking and in-between.  To say that I am a dog lover, is an understatement.  I have a lot of interest in textures and color combinations.  Sometimes I prefer black and white and other times I explode with color.  Galleries or interested parties please inquire for more info.  Private sales of my art & photography are available.
